Family-style recipes are perfect for entertaining a crowd, and they don’t come better than the great Thomas Keller’s American comfort foods like braised beef short ribs, buttermilk fried chicken and cherry pie. This cookbook contains such beautiful food photography that we use it as a coffee table book when not in use.
2. The Joy of Cooking (7th Edition) by Irma Rombauer, Marion Rombauer Becker and Ethan Becker
Quite possibly one of the most beloved cookbooks, The Joy of Cooking, is a household staple. Packed full with recipes that range in every category from: everyday, classic, foreign and gourmet. Perfect for beginners and experienced cooks!
3. The A.O.C. Cookbook by Suzanne Goin
Suzanne Goin is one of our favorite local chefs. We can’t help but have a major girl crush on her because of her sense of style, unbelievable cuisine and charity support. Her newly released A.O.C. Cookbook offers up recipes to many of the small-plate, shared-style dishes we’ve come to love. Some of our favorites include her Bacon-Wrapped Dates with Parmesan and California Sea Bass with Tomato Rice and Fried Egg.
4. Gordon Ramsay’s Fast Food by Gordon Ramsay
What’s not to love about over 100 delicious recipes that are super-fast and easy to prepare? Celebrity chef extraordinaire Gordon Ramsay offers readers a fresh take on combining just a few simple ingredients to make restaurant-quality meals in under an hour. 5. Gluten Free Girl Every Day by Shauna James Ahern
Shauna Ahern, blogger and author is an inspiration to gluten free foodies everywhere. Her second cookbook has 120 fresh, satisfying recipes for busy people who love to cook. Filled with stunning photography you will want to Pin off the page, the recipes were created in collaboration with her husband Danny, a professional chef. Many of the recipes are also dairy-free and vegetarian, making it a great resource to accommodate guests with food allergies, while still serving delicious, flavorful food.
