How We Ate and Drank our Way through Feast Portland

We’ve finally recovered from last weekend’s Feast Portland, a food and drink festival showcasing the best Oregon ingredients, the nation’s top chefs and a few of our super star clients – Tillamook and Union Wine Company. We attended every event, savored every morsel and immersed ourselves in culinary amusement to bring you festival highlights.

No trip to Portland is complete without a stay at Hotel deLuxe, our favorite downtown spot to rest our head and full stomachs after Feast events like the Sandwich Invitational. We sampled sammies like it was our job (oh wait… it was) and couldn’t get enough of Tillamook’s Berry Waffle Grilled Cheese Sandwich.  The fan favorite winner, the Dark Ginger, boldly featured dark chocolate, candied ginger and Tillamook Special Reserve Extra Sharp Cheddar.

Another favorite event, The Night Market, took place in the parking lot of Portland’s historic Ecotrust building, inspired by the open-air evening markets of Southeast Asia. With stalls manned by top chefs and Union Wine Co. on scene handing out #pinkiesdown bands while pouring wine in a can from their new tasting truck, it was the most fun we’ve ever had in a parking lot.

And because nothing goes better with good food than good booze, we made an appearance at Lardo West for the Chefstable after party featuring Aviation Gin and Juice kegs, 40s of Olde English mixed with OJ, and chefs battling it out in a flip cup tournament.

We left Portland stuffed, inspired and outfitted in our new tees from LA-based Flavour Gallery. For more Feast coverage check out the links below:
